Look.
I am that tree.
I am alone on the beach
no one but the sunlight,
the sand,
the water
to accompany me.
I see in the distance
there are other trees
but they are not
of my clan
they do not know
or want me
but they accept
that I am here
with them.
Someday
I will know,
I will understand
all that it is
that I need to know
that I need to understand.
Until then...
I will hope and strive
to get whatever meaning
that I can absorb
and is meant for me to see.
Until then--
just know
that I AM
that TREE.
